Would it be appropriate to wear this beautiful silk dress to school on Friday ?
I got this beautiful Chinese traditional dress for my birthday from my mother. My mother bought it for me after i showed her it and she bought it for me. Our high school on Friday is letting everyone dress up in their Halloween outfits but they say it has to be appropriate for school which means no costumes as Jason or Freddy or anything that projects violence and immature. I was thinking of dressing up as an china doll in this dress with my hair in chopsticks. Do you think it’s all right to wear this dress to school ? I was thinking of wearing the dress with an pair of white platform like those in the pictures, is that a good idea or not ? I got an exact same pair of those platform heels at my house and they are 5 inches high. Should i wear those platforms or should i go for something classy ? I really want to dress up and look cute as a china doll. Do you think it would be all right to wear this outfit ? I’m a junior and i am 17 years old.

It’s lovely, but the slit is a bit high and may get you into trouble. The heels are not appropriate for high school, though they may be good for a party. It’s just a bit too mature for high school, so I’d save it for the weekend and go for something a bit quieter for Friday.

the slit on the side is a little high, but you can wear tights with it, as long as the tights are not shear. the costume itself is not inappropriate, but the slit might be. i remember a girl in my grammar school from years ago who had the same costume idea, and i went to a catholic school. it was fine to wear, because she was properly covered up. just do the same and you will be fine.

The slit is way too high…try tights under it. I think u should wear something a bit more classy because the heels don’t really go. Try doing the Chinese thing with your hair…u know in a bun…it’ll look really cute that way.
